Ozark Anesthesia Associates (OAA) is a privately held group of approximately 30 physicians and 40 mid-level providers, proudly providing anesthesia services to CoxHealth Systems for four decades. We're seeking a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant to join our team in a collaborative Anesthesia Care Team (ACT) model.

About the Practice

OAA provides anesthesia coverage across three facilities, with most staff rotating through all three

Cox South Medical Center — 23 ORs, OB, ENDO, MRI, EP, Cath Lab, and Radiology

Cox South Surgery Center (CSC) — 4 ORs

Meyer Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital (MORH) — 9 ORs

Cox South Medical Center is a Level I Trauma Center.

Case Mix (ACT Model)

General, Vascular, Neuro, Cardiac (dedicated cardiac team), Urology, ENT, Orthopedics, Ortho Trauma, Eyes, OB, GYN, and Pediatrics (ENT, Dental, Urology).

Schedule

6-week fixed rotation: work 5 weeks, off every 6th week (Peel system)

8–9 weeks of vacation annually

Compensation

Estimated annual salary: $240,000

Cardiac stipend: $18,000/year for cardiac team members

Overtime: $200/hour for scheduled weekday hours worked over 40

Guaranteed hours for hours worked under 40 in regular schedule rotation

Sellback/extra shift rate: $200/hour (based on staffing needs)

Sign-on bonus/moving allowance

$25,000 for a 2-year commitment, or

$45,000 for a 3-year commitment

No tax withheld upfront

Benefits

Health insurance: Employer-paid for employee; additional plans available for spouse, child, or family (medical, dental, and vision), effective day one

CME: $1,500/year, rollover allowed for up to 2 years

Retirement: Employee 401(k) plan, plus an employer-paid pension equal to 7.5% of prior year's gross income — fully vested day one, no matching contribution required

Life insurance: Employer-paid, equal to 2x annual salary

Disability: Employer-paid short- and long-term disability (occupation-specific)
